Vitriol
I was somewhat taken aback today by a message in one of the yahoogroups I'm in.
One of the members, whom I've not met, just revealed himself to be extremely homophobic. He posted a message that was so disparaging and vitriolic that I couldn't help but feel offended on behalf of all my gay friends.
I know I shouldn't have, but I couldn't stop myself from firing off a reply. I did make an effort to tone down my message, so hopefully it won't be perceived as flamebait.
